4 Stars Excellent workmanship

We live in a hundred-plus year old Craftsman house, and we needed a new mailbox. My first choice was the copper version of this one, but since that one turned up discontinued, I settled for this black one. It is very well made and attractive. There are four holes in it for mounting. The upper set are easy to use with the lid up, but the lower two are difficult to fasten because the box is only a few inches deep. The directions tell the purchaser to use a "short" screwdriver. The screws provided are over an inch long. I had to use a ratchet wrench to turn the screws at a right angle. Take into account the location you intend to use for this mailbox, and plan accordingly. Although it took me a long time to mount it (our house is built of stone with only wood corbels to attach the box to) I am very happy with my choice.
