These locks are very well made. I purchased 4 of these for my restoration project and have had them in service for 4 years now with no issues. I did replace the door knobs & escutcheons with suitable antique knobs, etc. I plan to purchase more for an upcoming restoration project.

The rim lock is heavy duty and looks great. For early restoration projects it is an accurate reproduction minus the brass knobs. The only negative is, the knobs are not solid brass. The price is great for this rimlock regardless. It would be worth paying extra for this piece if the knobs were solid brass.

I purchased these rim locks (20) for the reconstruction of our 1790 Colonial post and beam. I had some originals and these were very aacurate in size, looks, and quality. Even the fact they were hand filed (India) made for more accuracy. The Knob was a bit larger than I have seen Historically. They work smooth. Very well built, and install as expected. Would re-purchase and have recommended many times. I feel I was luck to find these at such a great price.
