I bought 5 of these egg & dart doorknobs 3 years ago when renovating my house. They are beautiful and a close replica to what they replaced. However, the metal used to manufacture the moving parts is of very poor quality - i.e. the metal is soft - and the doorknobs cease functioning after regular use. I've had a contractor attempt to make regular repairs over the past 2 years, but now need to replace them with more functional doorknobs.
