Beadboard traces its ancestory to Europe's 18th and 19th century, where it was associated with less formal homes and spaces, particularly vacation homes. Now we see beadboard used throughout the home, and in furniture as well. Cabinets are constructed of sturdy hardwood and MDF and feature nickel finish hardware and glass knobs. Medicine cabinet features a beveled mirror, two adjustable glass shelves, and a beadboard backed display shelf. Floor cabinet is topped with a quaint backsplash, beadboard door front, and two adjustable shelves behind the beadboard door.

I am very pleased with my purchase, and the cabinet itself. Special thanks to the Customer Service representatives and supervisors who assisted in replacing the damaged cabinet with the new model. The helpful employees are too numerous to name at this point. Sincerely, Mike Crowley
This medicine cabinet is much more solid than anything I have seen in this price point- I cannot find any MDF on it. It is spray-painted like the cheaper MDF cabinets, which makes it look cheaper at first glance. This is truly a surface mount cabinet. I gave it only 4 stars because it mounts with 2 screws on the top corners in the back, and not with a rail built into the cabinet, much like a heavy mirror would. We plan to modify this an get an anchor in the middle of the beadboard backing for stability. The knob is really cheap and does not fully screw down. The magnet is a little too powerful- slightly hard to open door. Glass shelves and cubby at bottom very nice. And it arrived in perfect condition. Way to go Van Dykes!
