5 Stars Does NOT come with a spindle that fits a standard door!

The spindle that comes with this is 4.5" long, and thus will not fit a standard 1 3/8" interior door. Furthermore, the threading on these knobs is non-standard so you can't even buy an inexpensive hardware-store spindle to fit it. When I called to tell "customer service" I was offered these solutions: purchase 3.5" spindles from Van Dykes for $5 each. Or use a hacksaw to cut .5" off each end of each of my dozen doorknob spindles. The knobs themselves are nice, but nowhere in the listing does it say that they aren't usable with a standard door.

The knobs and rosettes are very nice. But the included spindle is 4.5" long, which is way too long for a standard 1 3/8" door. I had to buy standard 3.5" spindles separately. So -- if you buy this, and you have standard doors, be prepared to buy spindles as well.
