This is beautiful, well made hardware at an unbeatable price! Very solid feel. Works better than any of the other locks on our 1870 farm house. I need to order at least four more. Install carefully - "measure twice, cut once" - and make sure that you have a good gap between the latch and the strike. If you have not installed rim locks before, try it out on a piece of scrap wood to determine the proper gap. You will love the result.
