Strong, excellent quality and craftsmanship. I am extremely satisfied with the latch and the prompt delivery.
This one is my favorite. It works well if you have a large enough place to install it on the gate, although I have cut the drop bar off on occasion and repainted the raw end. The drop bar is about 10" long, but nice and heavy. The handle and keeper are nice and big. The latch has a long ramp, so it is easy to close. Most of the gate latches are cast, so one should make sure the drop bar is mounted so it ramps up the latch. If it bangs into the point of the latch the drop bar may break over time. I give it 4 stars because it is cast not steel. I think it should be at least 4.5. Arrives in a protective cardboard box. This gate latch operates good and keeps on working good.
