The locks appear to be well constructed, but--as with the other reviewer--there is no template indicating proper spacing. Any help? **Dear Customers-Thank you for your requests for a template. This is something we are in the process of developing.
The locks are a five excellent. Directions are nonexistant. Need to know how far apart to mount the parts. After drilling holes too close and too far apart, I finally got a couple of boards to practice on. Spacing instructions would be helpful.
The mechanism works fine. I built a cherry table featured in the American Woodworker. I purchased the table locks based on their recommendation. Installation is trial and error. Instructions or installation tips for aligning the two parts would be helpful.
Product looks great. Template is lacking...so here it is in words: The moving part mounts are 1-3/4"; apart (or 7/8"; from centerline). I mounted this 3/4"; from edge. The static part mounts are 1-1/2"; apart (or 3/4"; from centerline). 5/8"; from edge is loose. 11/16"; from edge is too tight. 21/32"; is about right. Beware of warp in the edges of the table or table leaves. Distance is critical, so precision is of the essence. **Dear Customer, thank you for your detailed instructions! Van Dyke's Restorers
