The cabinet was packed well, arrived undamaged and is beautiful...except we received a shiny brass knob instead of the one shown, the hinges are chrome?!? Heading to the hardware store to fix that!
The cabinets are as attractive in person as they are in the online photo. The primed units do not require additional painting if white is the color of choice. Depending in installation conditions, they can be installed to accommodate lefthand reverse or right hand reverse swing. I will install 2 upside down. However, Van Dykes shipping containers are poor. 4 of the 5 cabinets purchased sustained damage during packagaing or shipping. One had a shattered mirror; one has the impression of the packing bubble wrap embossed into the prime paint finish (aligatoring); one has a warped bottom rail and cracked stile (dropped on a corner perhaps or passed QC without notice); one has a rounded corner on the bottom rail (looks like it was dropped in on corner). The stiles and rails are solid wood but that did not prevent damage. Van Dykes could use much better practices and materials for packing and shipping.
