Caning Spline Reed

Spline reed is used to press cane webbing into an existing groove in the seat or back of a chair being repaired. A groove will be needed for new applications, or cleaned, widened and deepened for restorations. If your reed is too wide, narrow it down by shaving some width off with a sharp tool. The dimensions of each of the 10 spline reed sizes may vary slightly with each shipment, or each piece, as well as from one end to the other. Every attempt to provide the 10 feet in one continuous piece will be made. However, you can expect at times to receive more than one piece to make 10 feet.

The spline reed is sold as a 10 foot length unit. Please enter the total amount of 10 foot units needed. For example if you need 20 feet you would enter a quantity of 2.
