Acorn 8d Boat Nail

Keep a supply of nails on hand with a box of Acorn 8d Boat Nails. 2 1/2" long. Sold per pound. Van Dyke Restorer's is proud to offer a wide selection of antique cut nails. Originally, the terms 8d and 10d (a small d indicates penny) were used to denote prices of nails per hundred count. However, due to the fluctuations of prices this significance was lost and the terms were retained to indicate size. Please note: There are approximately 48 nails per pound, but due to the forging process the nail weight can vary, creating a fluctuation in the amount of nails per pound.
