Beautiful, but poor quality

I had been eyeing this pull for a long time and finally had the opportunity to purchase to replace missing hardware on a 1930s architect cabinet I acquired for restoration. Of the four pulls I purchased, three needed at least one of the screw holes drilled out as there was still metal present from the manufacturing process. For almost $14 apiece, I should not have to correct a consistent manufacturing defect.
