Restorers 4 Inch Iron Trunk Hasp

Restorers 4-Inch Iron Trunk Hasp adds the finishing touch on primitive chests and trunks. Hand crafted, their well-aged appearance makes them ideally suited for replacement on antique originals or authentic re-creations! The iron/bronze hasp is offered in Rusted Iron, Raw Cast Iron, Oil Blackened, Black Powder Coat, and Weathered Bronze finishes. Mounting hardware included.

• Short Leaf: 1 3/8" Width x 7/8" Height
• Long Leaf: 1 3/8" Width x 2 5/8" Height
• Barrel: 1 3/8" x 1/2"
• Slot Opening: Approximately 1" Height
• Hasp Opening Width: 7/16"
• Hasp Thickness: 1/8"
• Loop Projection: 7/8"
• This hasp will hinge at 90 degrees, so the mounting bracket can sit on the top of the trunk, while the slotted leaf will hang on the face of the trunk.
• Oil Blackened is raw iron coated with oil. The oil will wear and expose the iron beneath, which will rust. Left as is, this finish will erode, or rub off. This can be prevented by sealing with furniture wax or a clear coat sealant.
• Rust is a raw iron that has been oxidized. This finish will continue to rust over time and will rub off. This finish can be preserved by sealing with furniture wax or a clear coat sealant.
• Black Powder Coat is a baked on finish that is virtually maintenance free. This finish is more glossy than Oil Blackened and is permanent.
• Weathered Bronze is made from solid cast bronze. Weathered bronze will continue to age and patina over time. No two pieces will ever look identical.
