5 Stars A good hasp for re-enactors furniture

Van Dyke is an model for internet sellers. A user friendly website, reasonable prices, and quick shipping. The hasp is ideal for civil war reenactors furniture, having that civil war era look that we want. I am a reenactor blacksmith and was planning on making a suitable period correct hasp. When I saw this hasp at such a low price I decided to save several hours of forge work.I recommend both the seller and the hasp.

Looks great. The screws I received were slotted which match the old chest that I fixing. The screws were top quality #6 screws.
4 Stars We love the hasp... that's not the whole story

Looks great, seems to be good quality. But, as someone else said, the screws are poor quality. And we were short one screw in one package. Fortunately we had bought two hasps, and the second package had an extra screw. Finally, cost of shipping is completely outrageous! We paid more for shipping than for the hardware... Is this a cash grab or maybe you could find a more economical (slower is just fine!) option??? Seriously!

The hasp are great and have a very good old look. The screw were no good. The slots were different sizes and the threads so thin hard to catch to the point I went and got new screws.
5 Stars Hasp for outdoor doors

This is a great not too big or small hatch that looks like it is old. Perfect for a basement door, shed door, tool shed door just to add an extra spark beyond the usual ugly hardware from the big stores. Could even be used indoors on a liquor cabinet or blanket chest or old medicine cabinet --anywhere you want or need to keep someone out
