I needed some corbels or brackets to support a new granite countertop going on a raised bar. Using wood corbels added the issue of painting or staining them so I decied I would prefer metal brackets. I had a difficult time finding brackets that met the specifications the granite countertop company provided. Then I found these. First, let me state that the specifications of the bracket are wrong on the site as I write this review on 10/11/2012. The height of the bracket, that is the part running up and down the wall, is 8.5" (as opposed to 9.5" as the website currently states). The projection, that is the part extending out from the wall, is 9.5" (as opposed to 8.5" as the website currently states). The website has those measurements reversed (at this date - 10/11/2012). Also, the measurements are approximate as the 8.5" side is actually 1/16" to 2/16" longer than 8.5". The 9.5" side is about 2/16" shorter than 9.5". These brackets are a tremendous value.
