Restorers 2 3/8 Inch Backset Rim Lock

The product itself was fine.....once it finally arrived. Ordered in March and received in August with no communication unless I initiated the call. I would not have ordered it had I known it was 5 months until delivery. Disappointed.

I purchased two of these locks after YEARS of limping along with barely working door locks and searching in flea markets for replacements. Price seems high but not compared to the time I wasted looking for other options. Glad I finally found these! They solved a long-lasting problem.

I bought two units and they fit perfectly in replacing the original locks.

The description said that only the brass version was reversible. The black iron ones I received were easily reversed by removing 1 screw. India made quality, but function better than my 100 year old originals. I put off ordering for years due to the price, but now my wife stopped bugging me (about her doorknobs anyway), so I guess it was worth it.

I do wish the lock had come with a template. It doesn't have instructions for switching the hand so here's mine. On a flat surface unscrew the lock and turn the latch over hooking it back in place, be sure the springs are in place before putting the plate back on.
