Restorers 8 1/4 Inch Iron Trunk Hasp

Rustic well-aged appearance and traditional styling make Restorers 8 1/4 Inch Iron Trunk Hasp a real winner. Lid leaf of hasp may be inset into the bottom of the lid for added security. Mounting hardware included. 1 3/4" W x 8 1/4" L. Rusty Raw Iron or Black Power Coat finish.

  • Oil Blackened is raw iron coated with oil. The oil will wear and expose the iron beneath, which will rust. Left as is, this finish will erode, or rub off. This can be prevented by sealing with furniture wax or a clear coat sealant.
  • Rust is a raw iron that has been oxidized. This finish will continue to rust over time and will rub off. This finish can be preserved by sealing with furniture wax or a clear coat sealant.
  • Black Powder Coat is a baked on finish that is virtually maintenance free. This finish is more shiny than Oil Blackened and is permanent.
  • Weathered Bronze is made from solid cast bronze. Weathered bronze will continue to age and patina over time. No two pieces will ever look identical.

Excellent
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

At the time I ordered, the rusted finish was the only 1 available and it arrived exactly as described, perhaps even a touch thicker metal than pictured for the bronze finish. This is a very "stout" hasp: v. well made, heavy - I think it will over-power a small, light-duty trunk. It would go PERFECTLY with 1 of their big, old-fashioned key locks!

This is a nice hefty hasp, I just wish they would give you the plain finish you see in the picture. Only get a choice of rusty or black powdercoat, I went with the black powdercoat and hope to be able to remove it and just seal it with oil
