Super strong and firm

The female socket which attached to the head and footboards is routed about 5/8” and must be FLUSH with the face of the bed post. The male end is set on the surface inside the bed rails and indexed. Also set flush to allow zero movement or flex the taper on the casting drives down into the female section and is super sturdy.
