Restorers Iron Flush Bolt is a classical metal sliding bolt ideal for securing gates, doors and cabinets. Available in four finishes. Set comes with three strike plate styles for any mounting application.

  • NOTE: This bolt has a tension spring that will hold the bolt in place when mounted upside down.

    • Rust: Raw iron that has been oxidized. This finish will continue to rust over time and will rub off. This finish can be preserved by sealing with furniture wax or a clear coat sealant.
    • Black Powder Coat-A baked-on finish that is virtually maintenance free. This finish is more shiny than Oil Blackened and is permanent.
    • Oil Blackened-Raw iron coated with oil. The oil will wear and expose the iron beneath which will rust. Left as is, this finish will erode, or rub off. This can be prevented by sealing with furniture wax or a clear coat sealant.
    • Weathered Bronze: Solid cast bronze. Bronze will continue to age and patina over time. No two pieces will ever look identical.

    Looks great, lacks quality

    Looks fantastic. Broke after 3 months of light use. Perhaps I got a bad one in the bunch. Will give it another go.

    Everything about this is Quality, its heavy when you hold it, proving its not some pop metal piece of junk, just what you are looking for and didn't know it can be bought from this company, how lucky can we be!! It also has this spring tongue under the sliding bar so that it will stay in place either open or closed! Good design!

    The touch of rustic class

    These have served me well on multiple heavy gates over the last 15 years. I’m now ordering four more for two pairs of extra large (each door is 300lbs, 6-inch thick with insulation, 5ftx8ft) custom carriage doors to secure from the inside. They match the large 24-inch cranked strap hinges, and the Van Dyke Restorers 10 1/4 Inch Plain Pull Handle (have purchased 13 of these handles in the past for heavy outdoor custom gates and more refined indoor barn doors). I was advised a long time ago: spend the money and/or the attention to detail on the things you’ll touch and see frequently. Door hardware falls into that. Nice touch, great look, a sense of heft, built to last with old world rustic sophistication.
