Great looking lock set, but it’s broken

This lock set was delivered exactly as the pictures showed it. It was, however, non-functional. After disassembling the lock box, I discovered the metal plate used to act as a spring mechanism for the latch had broken-therefore the knob and latch would not work. I contacted customer service a week ago and still haven’t heard back from them about replacement…very disappointing and not to mention, the job has been put on hold until Vandykes fixes this problem. I’m certainly not going to spend another hundred on a part that might be non-functional, as this is a restoration job and I’m stuck in the middle with a broken part….Vandykes please get some better support
