Restorers Cast Iron Curled End Window Stay

I love the Stays. They look great and were easy to install and compliment our 1920's home. We ordered 18 for our windows but 5 of them came defective and didn't straighten out. These had to be returned. Thus, it gets 4 stars instead of 5 as probably a quarter of the product you will order will need to be returned. Van Dyke's customer service gets a 5 stars because they quickly fixed the problem and sent us new ones.

I bought 4 of these as I needed 2 matching, and only had one fanlight stay of a pair I purchased in South Africa. They are very nice, especially for price they were on special. I would observe however, that I've seen more stable "powder coating" finishes... in other words, I was not impressed that the first time I put it into use, the black finish inside the hole which the pin fits in chipped out immediately. Really not major, but the finish should be more stable if it's as advertised "powder coated".
