    We liked the sturdiness and styling of the key. It worked smoothly. The local box store keys were thinner and did not work as well and felt cheaper and lighter.

    Have been struggling with thin shank dime store keys. This key fits and turns the lock with ease.

    Former owner of my house left one antique key that worked on most doors in my house (built in 1935). I emailed a copy of the key and its dimensions to Van Dykes. They suggested the skeleton key. I ordered one key. It worked, so I ordered 9 more keys for each door. The key even works on the bathroom door for which I had planned to install a lock .

    10 doors in a house I recently purchased opened/locked with a single antique key left by the former owner. From Van Dykes I purchased a skeleton key (store #: 225969) that opens/locks all the above doors. I plan to purchase 9 more skeleton keys.
