Restorers Solid Brass Threaded Stem Caster features a threaded stem that can be screwed directly into the furniture leg. Bronze, Antique Brass, or Polished Brass finish. 2 3/4" tall.

Beautiful, strong brass

The casters are strong, and heavy brass. They are also a Boucher better option from the one on the piece.

As said before, stems are larger than expected. That's okay with me because they are stronger than the ones I had to replace because they broke. I used a flathead screwdriver to chisel out a slightly bigger whole and that worked pretty well. Downside is the expense. I see they are on sale now; so if you need them, don't wait. The regular price is just gauging.

When purchased from others, the stems are 1/4 inch. Drill a 1/4" hole and they screw right in. These are NOT 1/4" and 5/16 is too large. Drilled 5/16 and epoxied them in.
