The sash lock itself was fine, but the included screws left something to be desired. They were slotted and the slots were too shallow. This made it difficult to keep the screwdriver tip in the slot, and resulted in damage to the soft brass screws. I ended up using a small file to make the slots deeper. A solution would be to use Phillips head screws rather than slotted screws.
