Restorers Single Decorative Coat Hat Hook

I bought the black hooks to make a coat rack out of an old wooden ski. The hooks have just the look I was looking for - rustic and distressed. Unfortunately, the black finish rubs off so I had to try and wash, wipe and rub them down with steel wool so I don't ruin whatever I'm hanging. The screws are cheapy, crappy worthless pieces of metal that strip with a single turn of a screwdriver. I wish they came in different lengths,too (they went right through the ski).

Bought these to hang the "skeleton" keys for my new door hardware. Added a nice vintage look.

Hook is good, but screws aren't. One broke in the hole while tightening (into alder, shouldn't happen). Had to change location of hook since half screw was stuck in hole. Chinsy screws. decent hooks though.

Ordered these in rusted finish. I was surprised to find that they looked like they had been sitting in a bucket of water for a couple of years, and that they came with screws that matched. They are the perfect accent for the distressed mirror upon which I mounted them.

Very well made. Has an understated antique design so it looks real not faux.
