Restorers Deadbolt Style Strike Plate


Replacement deadbolt style door strike plates are offered in a variety of decorator finishes to match door hardware. This strike plate is reversible for left or right hand use. Choose from Lacquered Brass, Bronze, Satin Nickel, or Antique Brass. 1 7/16" W x 3 3/8" H.

  • Large hole measures: 1" H x 5/8" W
  • Small hole measures: 13/16" H x 9/16" W
  • Space between holes: 1/8"
  • Thickness: 1/8"
  • Jamb mounted portion of plate is 7/8" wide
  • Boring between holes: 2 9/16"
  • Reversible for left or right hand use.

Strike Plates

The strike plate fits well in our 90 year old home’s solid oak door frames. Over that time they had been painted over many times and so most would not latch anymore. The new plates were very easy to install and only required placing filler in a small area. My one complaint is the screw heads do not fully recess flush against the plate. This caused the doors to scrape when closing them. I ended up buying a smaller screw.

These door strikes were exactly what I was looking for to put in my frames for my antique door knobs. They were heavy duty, fit perfectly, and were easy to install for myself; it even chiseled out the door frame by myself!

Exactly what my 1913 bungalow needed to replace missing hardware. Dimenstion were exact and only a small pilot hole needed to attach one screw which was offset from the original by 1/8"
