Finish not what I expected

I ordered the Tob Knobs Serene Lily cabinet pulls in oil rubbed bronze. They are well made, but I wasn't happy with the finish, which is uniform in color, shiny, and smooth. From the photo, I had thought the finish would me more modulated in color tones and have more of a matte appearance and texture. My brother thought they looked like metal, but I thought one might think they were made of resin. I returned them and opted instead for the Marella Columnae pulls and knobs in matte black, which are stunning. The Serene Lily hardware was just not my cup of tea.
