Shipped and received promptly. Well made. The 7" model should be mounted with 6 screws instead of 4. Bail handle should be heavier (larger diameter cross section) on the 7" model. Overall I was pleased with the handles and they were a match for my 100 year hand made chest.

I think it is pretty good for a 6 buck handle. I did not have the problem with the oily finish that others have commented on. I will say that distance between the handle pivots are much closer together than in the photograph. It comes with slot head screws instead of philips which is nice (nothing uglier than philips!)

The handle was perfect for the Tack Box that my husband made for our grandson who is an ox teamster and needed a good sized tack box for trips to fairs with his oxen. My husband wiped down the oiliness with a soft cloth and applied a solid wax coat to the handle and that solved any oiliness. The handle also has stops so you won't pinch your knuckles when you lift the box or trunk. They fit the bill perfectly for us.

The style was very close to the old hanle it was replacing. The oily black stuff I had to remove. I used Brake cleaner and scrubed it to bare metal the sprayed on a primer then a flat black paint. I bought both sizes and they look great on both the wooden boxes/trunks. I would defenitly get another if needed.
