Now you can replace missing or damaged transom window hardware with this beautifully crafted Restorers Classic Transom Window Operator. Made of steel, the heavy-duty design allows windows to be opened and held in virtually any position. Reversible to work for both left and right hand assembly. NOTE: This will not work on outward swinging windows, only on inward swinging windows.

Easy to Install, Works Great - Top Hinge Instructions would be Nice

The transom hardware works well and installs easily. Two suggestions: (1) Print a set of instructions for top-mounted hinge windows. (2) Add instruction to the effect that: "After attaching mount to the transom window, test fit placement of the mounts in BOTH open and closed positions for the window.

It will work with any size transom

I have a 12 inch transom window and the product works great. It will work with any size transom because it can adjust up and down depending on the size of the window.

Works Well (Even for Smaller Windows)

The description says this operator works only for transom windows between 18" and 24" tall. My 120-year-old house has six transom windows that are just 12" tall. I ordered one of these to see if it would work on our windows, expecting that I might need to modify it a bit. I was pleased to find that it worked fine with no modifications on our 12" top-hinged windows. (I did mount the piece closer to the bottom of the window than the instructions suggested.) I've now ordered five more.

Looks Antique and works great

I bought these to put in a 1928 home and they look original and work great. So much better than trying to find vintage ones that may not work. AWESOME product for a great price.
